Cost for Individual Services

Regular Office Visit — $105

An office visit is an appointment with Dr. Carter. This visit may include but is not limited to, adjustments made to the programming of aids, discussing new technology and upgrades, patient evaluation relating to hearing loss, selecting, ordering and fitting new aids, reviewing information such as cleaning, connecting to Bluetooth devices, discussing communication strategies, or discussing other assistive technology options such as television streamers, remote controls, or remote microphones.

Comprehensive Hearing Test — $75

Cerumen Removal — $105

Bluetooth Re-Connection — $65

Repair Visit — $65

This is an in-office repair with a technician. Your hearing aid will be repaired, cleaned, tubing changed, domes or wax caps replaced, and Bluetooth connectivity issued addressed. If parts have to be replaced and the aid(s) are out of warranty, you will be required to pay for the parts as well as the repair visit. If aid(s) have been sent to the manufacturer for repair, and is under warranty, it is considered a repair visit.

Drop Off Repair – $35.00

If aid(s) are dropped off at the office for repair they will either be fixed in-office or sent to the manufacturer for repair. When repaired or when the aid(s) arrive back in the office, and you don’t need to see a technician, you can pick up and pay the drop off repair fee. You will have to see a technician if the aids need to be re-connected to a phone, any reprogramming needs to be performed or any other related service.

Refitting Following Out-of-Warranty Manufacturer Repair – $450.00 per aid

Refitting and Verification of Lost/Replaced Hearing Aids – $450.00 deductible per aid

Proper function of the hearing aid will be verified and the device will be refit. All controls will be checked, a feedback test run and re-pairing to your phone will be done if applicable.

Programming/Re-Programming   $325.00 – $890.00

We will program aids that were not directly purchased at Pasadena Hearing Care and will only program brands we sell here.  Pricing for this service depends on where the aids were originally purchased and if the owner of the aids requires training.  Programming includes a hearing test, fitting using Real Ear Measurement, review of onboard controls, and 1 follow-up visit after the fitting.  Training includes proper insertion, battery use or use of charger, maintenance and cleaning, and Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls and/or an app if needed.
