Meet Anne S. Carter, Ph.D.

Pasadena Hearing Care was founded in 2012 by Dr. Anne Carter. Dr. Carter worked in hospital settings and with ENT physicians before opening her own practice. She has been working in the South Pasadena, Florida area for over 20 years.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Audiology – August 1996​ – Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee
• Master of Arts in Audiology – May 1991- Miami University, Oxford, Ohio
• Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences – December 1989 – Miami University, Oxford, Ohio

Dr. Carter has over 40 years of experience working with individuals with hearing problems. She spent 5 years as a research Audiologist studying how hearing changes with age, how the ears work together to process sound, and how to improve speech understanding in noise. Dr. Carter has authored and co-authored 13 journal articles, 5 book chapters, and has presented at nearly 20 professional conferences. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carter has taught at the University of South Florida. Dr. Carter resides in Treasure Island with her husband Troy and daughter Emily.
